CrossFit is just different! Different from the guy in the park shouting orders but has no program design and will have you copy CF movements without a purpose and just plain different from the gyms you may have been to. In a regular gym you simply do your own workout. You get no feedback or coaching from experts on your program, form / technique. CrossFit, however, is based on extremely effective training provided by a CrossFit trainer based on functional movements. It is simply the best core strength training out there. Training at a CrossFit gym is a blend of personal training and group exercise classes. A certified trainer conducts each class that has been programmed to get you to your goals. The trainer helps you determine the right workout of the day (WOD) for you based on ability level, injuries, and any other relevant factors. Each class performs the WOD together while the trainer gives individual attention to each athlete. The trainer will lead the warmup, refresh everyone on proper movements and standards, coach each athlete for proper range of motion and safety, and encourage each athlete during the WOD. You’re not paying for a simple gym membership.
You’re paying for a personal trainer, nutrition counselor, and motivator that actually gets you results! Each class build on another which allows you to get to a whole new fitness level.
Coming in to one class does not show you what crossFit is. Give CrossFit a real try and sign up for three months and reach a new level. It’s not for everyone, it can be hard and you have to push yourself. Not everyone is ready to work hard to get in the best shape of their life and invest in a healthy future…Are you?
